Answer three questions, then follow the one quickstart in the matching cell. Every quickstart is self-contained: it lists every file you need, how to test it in the Sandbox, and how to go live.

1. What do you sell?

  • E-commerce: one-time payments for orders (physical or digital goods, bookings, donations).
  • SaaS: recurring subscriptions with trials, coupons, a customer portal and access that follows the subscription.

2. Where does the customer pay?

  • Hosted: your server creates a Checkout Session and redirects the customer to its url. Fastest to build; no payment form on your site.
  • Embedded: the checkout renders inside your page with the browser SDK (/sdk/v1/zahlo.js). The customer never leaves your site.
  • No-code link: create a payment link in the dashboard and share or paste its URL. No server code.

3. What is your site built with?

Subscriptions paid by SEPA Direct Debit follow SEPA subscriptions.

Which should I pick?

  • Hosted is the fastest and the safest default: Zahlo hosts the payment page, and you only create a session and handle one webhook.
  • Embedded keeps the customer on your page. It needs the browser SDK and one more registration if you want Apple Pay.
  • A payment link needs no code. Use it when you sell a few fixed items or plans, or to test demand before you build.
Whatever you choose, orders are fulfilled and access is granted from webhooks, never from the customer returning to your success page. Every quickstart shows the handler.
